California Roadtrip 2011
Friends of G2,
This year I decided to take my photo adventure/vacation in California.
Roadtrip #52 California 2011
I was gone alone for eleven days and spent 9 of them seeing as much of California as I could, for nine days in June/July 2011.
That state has so much diversity. It was beautiful.
I flew in to Los Angeles, rented a car and visited a couple of friends.
One of them I have not seen in many years.
I borrowed his tent, sleeping bag,and cooler.
Then off to the grocery store for some supplies and then headed east, north then west.
No reservations or concrete plans.
I hoped to camp every night, but was forced to stay three different nights in a hotel.
Early July is a very busy time in the campgrounds of California, and very hard to get a campsite.
I wanted to see the Desert, Mountains, Forests,Coast and a City.
In total I drove over two thousand miles.
There are a few too many photos of the roads. I love to drive!
I saw temperatures of 115 degrees in the desert and 35 degrees in the High Sierras.
I got rained on all night in the Yosemite valley, and took a train ride along the southern coast.
I spent my birthday on the beach and in the forest of Big Sur on the California coast.
It was awesome.
I made some good choices and a few mistakes. (Alot more good ones than bad!)
I saw so many wonderful things and took a lot of photos.
I am hoping you will allow me to share a little of what I saw out there with you, by inviting you to view them.
As with most of my galleries I have posted my favorite hundred or so at the beginning of the gallery.
They are all mixed up with no rhyme or reason and represent the the bulk of my sightseeing.
After that, the photos are "somewhat" in the order I took them.
For those of you that may enjoy them, I thank you for your time to allow me to share my passion with you.
Sincerely,
Glenn Gardner...G2photosmx.com
